Plumeria SMS Program Overview
Plumeria offers an optional SMS program that allows users to receive date ideas via text message. This is an entirely optional service and is not required to use the Plumeria application or website.
SMS Opt-In Process
CONSENT IS COMPLETELY SEPARATE FROM ANY SERVICE
IMPORTANT: Consent to receive SMS messages from Plumeria is NEVER required to use our app or website. These are completely separate services.
Plumeria offers multiple ways to receive date ideas:
- Through our website at plumeriadate.com (no SMS consent required)
- Through our mobile application (no SMS consent required)
- Through our optional SMS service (requires separate SMS opt-in)
You can use our website and app without ever receiving SMS messages. Our SMS service is an entirely optional, separate channel that you may choose to use if you prefer text-based interaction.
How Users Provide Express Written Consent
Users explicitly opt in to receive SMS messages from Plumeria by taking the following actions:
- Initiating contact: A user initiates the first message by texting our SMS number at +1 (844) 651-4650 from their mobile device.
- Welcome message with consent disclosure: Upon receiving the first message, we immediately send a welcome message that includes clear information about the SMS program and how to opt out.
- Continued engagement: By continuing to engage with our service after receiving the welcome message, the user confirms their consent to receive messages.

- Informing users that consent is not required as a condition to purchase any goods or services

- Maintaining records of all opt-ins and opt-outs
The act of a user sending a text message to our number constitutes a clear, affirmative action indicating consent to receive SMS messages, as outlined in our welcome message.
How Our SMS Service Works
If you choose to use our SMS service, simply text something like: "Date in San Diego with budget $50" to our number at +1 (844) 651-4650. Our system will respond with personalized date ideas based on your request.
Message Frequency & Costs
Our service sends messages only in response to your specific requests. We do not send automated promotional or marketing messages unless you separately opt in to receive such communications.
Standard message and data rates may apply based on your wireless carrier. You are responsible for any message and data charges from your mobile service provider.
Opt-Out Instructions
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by texting "STOP" to our number. After you send the SMS message STOP to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.

Opting out of SMS messages does not affect your ability to use our main service or application in any way.
